The Coventry

By Ana | Comments: 0 | December 7, 2018

Only two month old The Coventry is located opposite the busy South Melbourne Market. It’s perfect for Sunday brunch dates. It also caters for those who are dog lovers, with room to bring your furry pets. There is a beautiful function room and the cafe itself is very open and spacious. Free parking available with 1 hour along the side and 2 hour parking just a few minute walk from the market. Although parking is free, beware of ticket inspectors who are on patrol.

The menu was inspired by the chef’s adventures from all parts of the world. On our brunch date we ordered the Middle Eastern Breakfast, Korean Fried Chicken & Waffles, Strawberry mint crepes, batch brew and a latte. The flavours were on point, traditional flavours with a fun twist. The crepes are freshly made and you can see them assembling it in the front window. What a way to make your tastebuds dance and your mouth water!

They also have acquired their liquor licence and will be bring out a range of creative cocktails as well as having a range of wines, sprites, beers and more.
The staff at The Coventry are very attentive and friendly. I’m looking forward to coming to try their lunch menu and cocktails!
